Judgment Upon Israel

 Let us muse from Amos 2:6-10 and a section I am calling the state of judgment upon Israel. In verse 6A we find a serious state. Israel has also crossed God’s mercy line of patience. I John 5:6 tells us the greatest sins or ones done among the people of God. They are called by John a sin unto death. In 6b-12 we find a sinful state. Their treatment of the righteous and poor were beyond forgiving. Their moral restraint was at the lowest when a father and son would go to the same temple harlot. They would even tempt one with wine who had separated themselves and taken the Nazarite vow. In verses 13-16 Amos gives a spoken state when for the remaining of his time he would give his attention to Israel. He reveals a defeat of war for their future. Let us listen to the man of God that the Lord has placed over us, they may have a word that could save us from the correcting hand of God.
