Let us muse today from Amos 3:1a and a thought of a word from God. This phrase hear the word that the Lord has spoken is a powerful thought. One thought I would bring to our attention is found in the word hear. We cannot hear unless God gives us ears to hear. I was reminded of this principle in the story of Cain and Abel. Both of these boys were taught by their parents Adam and Eve that God only accepted a blood sacrifice. The Bible said that only Abel by faith offered the blood sacrifice. Faith comes only by  hearing and that of hearing the word. The word  is singular. It is a Rehma a special word for an individual people. The last thought is that this is not Amos’ words, but God used him as the hand and mouthpiece to say what He wanted him to say. As we sit under the man of God we have been placed under let us listen closely, God is speaking.
