Struggles Of Amos

Let us muse again today from Amos 7:4-9 and the struggles of Amos. In verses 4-6 the Lord sends a great fire of drought among the people. They were dying of thirst. Amos struggled in prayer to God in verse five and God stayed the drought. In verses 7-9 God sent a man with a plumb-line to measure Israel. The plumb-line is a type of the law. Israel did not measure up to God’s law. In verse nine God said I’ll lay the nation in waste. Amos did not pray for the nation. Amos knew they had step over God’s line of grace. I wonder how long before it will be of no value to pray for the revival of America?
