God Will Search Them Out

Let us muse today from Amos 9: 2-4 and the section I have entitled final affirmations from Amos. We have noted already the Lord said I will strike. Today the text tells us God will search them out. It seems some fled when the judgment fail in order to hide from God. God said if they dig down into Hell, go to the highest mountain, or into enemy captivity I will find them and destroy them. David said in Psalms 139 if they ascend up into the heavens I will be there if they make their bed in Hell behold I am there. In revelations when judgment came they asked the mountains to fall up on them and hide them from God’s face. Let us remember there is no way for us to be hidden from Coram Deo. This is the Latin phrase for before the face of God.
