Who is Obadiah

Let us muse today on the thought of who is Obadiah? This prophet came on the scene crying out in woe against the Edomites. He appears out of nowhere and vanishes just as quickly. He left behind this little 21 verse book that found its way into Holy writ. Is Obadiah  the prophet who hid preachers in a Elijah’s day? Is he the law teacher of Jehoshaphat’s reign? Is he the one who oversaw the temple repairs in Josiah’s day? We have not a clue who he was. We only know that he was a voice crying in the wilderness warning the folks to turn to God. May we be such a voice for our day.
