The Pride of Edom

Let us muse today from Obadiah verse two and the pride of Edom. Remember this book is addressed to Israel’s arch-enemy the Edomites who are the descendents of Esau. It seems the aim of Obadiah’s message we see in verse two is Edom’s pride. God has brought them down in size among their own enemies. We have a tendency to be easy on pride. Pride turned the great angel Lucifer into the arrogant devil. Pride is the great sin of all sins. It is the original sin and father of all sins. God says He resisteth the proud but He giveth grace to the humble.
