Jonah’s Anger With God

Let us begin today to muse from Jonah 4:1-4 and Jonah’s anger with God. In verse one we find that Jonah is exceedingly displeased and angry with God because of His saving of Nineveh. I feel this anger probably steams from three things. One is Jonah sees himself as a ruined prophet. The Old Testament says if a prophet prophesied and it does not come to pass then he is a false prophet and worthy to be stoned. Jonah cared little for Nineveh and less about God’s work, but he is greatly concerned about the fact of is reputation being ruined.
