The Counsel For Anxiety

Let us muse  today from Habakkuk 1: 5-11 and a section I have entitled the prophet’s anxiety. We noticed in verses 1-3 a cry of anxiety and in verse 4 the cause of anxiety. In todays text we find the counsel for anxiety.  In verse five God tells them through Habakkuk I will do a work among you that you will not believe. God tells them I will bring your worst enemies the Chaldeans against you and bring you to nothing. In verses 6-10 God tells them how awful this invasion will be. I am sure that Habakkuk had hoped there would be a national revival. God was done with warning them and giving them chance after chance. I wonder where God is in the warning process of our nation? It may be soon He will say that is enough.
