Trust God’s Word

Let us begin today to muse from Habakkuk chapter 2 and a section I have entitled the prophet’s awaiting. In this section God gives the profit 3 assignments one of which we have already discussed and it was write the word. The second we begin today is trust the word. It is in this section that Habakkuk will contrast the sinner and saint’s relationship to the word. Among sinners there is such an overwhelming spirit from the world there is no desire to trust the word. Habakkuk uses five woes to describe the sinner’s relationship with the world. We will look at these five but I noticed that all of them flow from the heart of pride mentioned in verse four. Let us be careful of anything that hints of self being lifted up. Remember the word of God will keep you from sin and sin especially the sin of pride  will keep you from the word of God.
