Let us muse today from Habakkuk 2:6 and a section I have entitled the prophet’s awaiting. It is here God has given the assignment to the prophet to trust in the word. The world has a great reluctance to trust in the word because of five woes mentioned by a Habakkuk in chapter 2. The first woe is in 2:6. It is a desire  of covetousness for things that God has not supplied. If it is a strain to get something, pay for something, or keep something up, it is a good chance God has not given it, but it is coming through the means of an unholy desire. Pride, unholy desires, and covetousness will kill our trust in the word.
