The Prophet’s Adoration

Let us begin today to muse from Habakkuk chapter 3 and a section I have entitled the  prophet’s adoration. When the prophet started this book in 1:1 he was in the Valley of a great burden and now he ends this book in 3:19  on a mountain top rejoicing. His circumstances have not changed if anything they are worse  but he has changed. He was now walking by faith instead of sight. He was living by the provisions of God and not the circumstances of life. We find in and 3:16 this was a time of great fear in route from the Valley to the mountaintop. May we say with the songwriter my faith looks up to thee thou Lamb of Calvary. Faith will demand we look up not down or around.
