The Test Of Rebuilding

Let us muse today from Haggai 1:2 and a section I have entitled the call to rebuild. It is in verse two we find the test of rebuilding. The majority of the people thought the prophet was wrong and it was not time to rebuild. It is the same today as in that day as John Phillips said it well when he said,” preaching had become a narcotic instead of a stimulant.” It was putting man to sleep instead of challenging him to arise and serve. It is the same today, there is nothing wrong with much of the preaching, the problem is those in the pew have no ears to hear it.
