Zechariah’s Message
Let us muse today from Zechariah 1:2-6 and a section I have called Zechariah’s message. He lays before the people the displeasure of the Lord. In verse five he ask them were are your fathers? Apparently most of the Jews from the captivity stayed in Babylon or in other lucrative places and did not return to the homeland. He said in verse three because they have not turned to me neither will I turn to them. They would not hear or hearken unto God’s word and verse six says and because of that He became the Lord of hosts to them. The Lord of host is mentioned 53 times in this book and means the one who win all battles before He fights them. It certainly would not be to our benefit to get in a battle with the Lord of host.
