Coming Of The King

Let us begin to muse from the remainder of this book were Zechariah deals with the coming of the king. In chapter 9:1-8 we find some thoughts about an earthly king called Alexander the great. The prophet fortells of days when he will come and destroy a number of world powers. As it is with all of God’s true prophet all that he said came to pass in a man by the name of Alexander the great. As great a conqueror of world powers that he was he died at the ripe young age of 33. God puts up powers and brings them down. Let us never fear when one is in authority that we may dislike let us remember this too shall come to pass. The next one may be better and could be worse. Let us pray for our leaders that we can live a peaceable life walking with our Lord.
