God’s Commandment

Let us muse once again today from Malachi 2:1-4 and a section I have called the Lord’s announcement. It is in our text we find God’s commandment to the priest of that day. It was intended to awaken them from their wicked ways. The Lord said if they failed to obey that He would bring them to great shame and then death. The great shame would involve the dung from the animals being rubbed all over their faces. In verse three they will then be taken away. Our Lord deals harshly with those that handled the sacred things of God lightly and fail to obey Him as Lord.
