Jonah’s Faithfull Devotion

Let us begin to muse today from Jonah chapter 2 and Jonah’s storm. We want to move from Jonah’s foolish disobedience and look at Jonah’s faithful devotion. I see in verse one Jonah’s first thought from the whale’s belly was to pray. Our text says in verse two that he cried out of his affliction from the belly of hell. I thought it is interesting that Jonah feels as though he has died and gone to hell. Our study tells us that God heard his prayer. We should always pray with the anticipation that if we pray and God hears our prayer we have the petition that we asked of Him. I wonder if we ever get desperate in prayer life until we reach the bottom in our storm?
