Peter’s Lowly Denial

Let us begin today to muse from John 18:1-27 and Peter’s perception problem. We see in our text in these days Peter’s lowly denial. I draw our attention to the possibility of living with Jesus as Peter did but to live totally by sight and not by faith. Let us begin today to look at the setting of this denial. I noticed in verses 1-2 of our text in this place where Peter will so clearly magnify sight living, that it is a place of prayer. Judas even knew that when our Lord was burdened He went here to pray. So Peter is going to step over the gift to pray which is the embodiment of faith living and live by sight. Oh how often we do the same.
