Setting Of Peter’s Denial

Let us continue to muse from John 18:1-10 and the subject of Peter’s perception problem. We are looking in these days at Peter’s denial and the setting of this denial. In verses 4-8 we see that Peter will magnify sight living in a setting of power. When Judas and the soldiers come to arrest Jesus He said to them whom do you seek, and they said Jesus of Nazareth.. Jesus said to them simply I am. This is the Old Testament title for Jehovah God. When He said that the soldiers flipped over backward and fell to the ground. But even in this setting of power Peter lives by sight and not faith.
