Sovereignty Of Denial

Let us muse again today from John 18: 11 and Peter’s perception problem. We are looking today at Peter’s lowly denial and the sovereignty of denial. Our Lord says to Peter after he cut the servant’s ear off, Peter put up your sword this is a part of the cup the Father has given me to drink. In His great sovereign ability right before Peter’s eyes our Lord reaches over and heal the servant’s ear and makes it whole. Oh how our Lord will often convert our blunders of sight living right before our eyes and make it so clear to us we had no part in cleaning up that mess but it was all a work of His sovereign hand.
