Fulfillment Of God’s Word

Let us muse today from Luke 1:57-58 and the people whom God fills with the Holy Ghost and John’s birth. Our text tells us that it came to pass just like Zacharias was told by the angel when he was serving in the Temple. Holy Ghost filled people are always people who are full of and led by the word of God. In verse 58 the neighbors could see that God had showed the family mercy and they rejoiced with them. Mercy is God withholding from us what we deserve. They did not deserve a son to be born to them but God gave them one anyhow. Holy Ghost filled people know that His mercy is higher than the heavens are above the earth.
