Precious Pictures

I want to begin to muse for several times on the word precious. The word means rare,a cost beyond calculation,and one of kind.It is often used in a picture setting. I love picture words because a picture is worth a 1000s words. Let us begin to muse from some past precious pictures from the Old Testament. In Isaiah 28:16 we have the prophet’s precious picture. We are told that a precious stone has been laid in Zion. Christ is this stone and is rare, a cost beyond calculation, and one of a kind.The foundation on which we stand as christians is Christ and He is the PRECIOUS STONE.
