Affliction Of This Stone

Let us muse again today from Isaiah 28:16 and past precious pictures and the precious stone. Our text tells us that the precious stone which is our foundation was an afflicted stone. The text tells us it was a tried stone. The word tried means to test or examine by fire. Paul said of Christ He humbled Himself and became obedient unto death and even the death of the cross. Our precious foundation stone died as our substitute, paid the redemption price as our kinsman redeem, and that my friend is precious.
