Proverb’s Precious Picture

Let us begin today to muse from Proverbs 3:13-15 and past precious pictures from the Old Testament. Today we look at the Proverb’s precious pictures. In this text Solomon speaks of precious wisdom. Let me remind us of the definition of precious which is rare, costly, beyond calculation, and one-of-a-kind. The word wisdom here means to be exceedingly skillful in discerning and understanding the times. James tells us this wisdom comes from above and it is pure, peaceable, gentle, full of mercy, and creates in us the fruit of righteousness. God gives it liberally to those who ask for it in faith, nothing wavering and no double mindedness.
