Precious Faith

Let us begin today in II Peter 1:1-3 to muse upon one of Peter’s precious pictures he calls precious faith. The word precious means rare, valuable beyond calculation, and one-of-a-kind. Faith is an unusual item. It is a gift from God,given only to His people. Preacher don’t you think He gives this gift to all? If he did they would all do it. It is that which commences my salvation, continues my sanctification, and one day by faith it will conclude in glorification. It is the only thing that pleases God and it is under constant attack of being tried and Peter says that it is precious faith.
