Manifestation Of Operation

Let us muse today from II Peter 1:1 and Peter’s precious pictures about precious faith. In our text today we see the manifestation of operation. Peter gives us four titles for himself in verse one and I think these titles are the characteristics of one who possesses genuine precious faith. The first title is Simon which means to hear and faith gives one the ability to have ears to hear in the heart when God speaks.The second is Peter which means little one and precious faith will make one want to decrease while our Lord increase. The third title is servant or bondslave and faith will sure bring one into a servant master relationship with our Lord. The final title is apostle which means sent one. One who has precious faithful desires to be sent out to tell others about this precious faith and the one who gave it to them as a gift.
