Promise Of Divine Justification
Let us muse again from II Peter 1:4-10 Peter’s precious pictures about precious promise of habitation. We are told because God now lives in us we are assured of many other unique promises one of which is the promise of divine justification. Peter tells us when God took up residence in us verse four says we can now escape the corruption and lust that is in the world. This is an ongoing power that works in us. The word corruption is the ruin and depravity of this world. The word lust is the longings, passions, and appetites of the heart. The presence of God inside of us gives great power to be more than an overcome.
