Precious Chief Stone

Let us muse today from I Peter 2:6 Peter’s precious pictures about the precious Jesus and a precious chief stone. We see in the precious chief stone a prophetical fulfillment. It is contained in the Scripture speaks of the Old testament prophecies. There are 300 Old Testament prophecies mentioned about Jesus. In His 33 years on the Earth He fulfilled them all. The Las Vegas odds of that happening is one out of three with 800 zeroes behind the three. When Peter read the Old Testament scrolls and saw Moses strike the rock I can only imagine he said that is my precious stone. When he read of Gideon laying the flesh upon the rock and strike it I can only imagine Peter said that is  my precious chosen stone. When he read of David being brought out of the miry clay and sat upon a rock, I can only imagine Peter said that is my elect stone. When he read of Daniel’s little stone rolling down destroying five nations, I can only imagine Peter said that is my living stone . When Peter read of God building the church upon the rock, I can only imagine Peter said that is my chief cornerstone. Precious Jesus O for grace to trust you more.
