Prayer For Approval And Alignement
Let us muse today from Philippians 1:10 in Paul’s prison experiences. One of the things that changed his prison into a palace of praise was prayer. In verse 10a I find a prayer for approval. The word approve used in the text means to test the purity of metals. The word excellent means to test the difference between two or more things. Oh how we did to test so many things in this hour under the watchful eye of the Holy Ghost. There is also a prayer for alignment in verse 10b. The word sincere means to sun test. Those who bought pottery in Bible days would bring a pot from under the tent to sun test it, and make sure they were not being sold damaged goods. The phrase without offense means without wax in the cracks. If there was a crack they would fill it with wax and sell it. At the first use of the vessel it would break. Let us be careful of mixing wood, hay, and stubble, with gold, silver and precious stone. Let us be properly aligned with Christ as the moon is with the sun. Son test everything with the Word of God.
