The Father Glorified

Let us muse today from John 17:4 and the high priestly prayer. In our text Jesus prays that He has glorified the Father. I find this work is in the past tense. The indication is that He has, He is, and He shall continue to glorify the Father. The word glorify means to lift up, to esteem, and hold in the highest regard. I am reminded of what Paul said, that whatsoever we do if we eat or drink do it all to the glory of the Father. When we come to the end of our journey may we be able to say I have glorified the Father while upon the earth.
