The Meting Hand Of God

Let us muse again today from Isaiah 40:12 and the theme of Isaiah’s Christ. We are looking at the strengthening Christ and His measuring hand. Today we begin to look at the meting hand of God. The word meting means to arrange or set in orbit. We are told He meted out the heavens. The heavens here is the visible arch which includes the sun, moon, and stars. We are told he meted out the heavens with a span. The word span and means a small unnoticeable gesture of the fingers which is confirmed in Psalms 8:3 which says when I consider the heavens the work of Thy fingers, I say what is a man that thou art mindful of him.
