The Trinity And The Gospel

Let us muse again today from Ephesians 1:3-4 and the theme of the Gospel according to the new birth. Often when we speak of the new birth we just say Jesus saves. I think we feel like the Son of God is the only one who plays a part in our new birth. I find in our text at the triune Godhead plays a united, individual, and personal work in my new birth. We see in our text that God the Father had chosen a people before the foundation of the world. The word chosen means to pick, to prefer one over another, and to pick from a group. The only time I ever got picked growing up was they said we will take Gilliam if you give us first bat. The Father chose me before time began and He knew full well I could not bat yet for some reason He chose me.
