The Person Of This Pattern

Let us begin to muse from Philippians 2:5-11. Who is this person Paul pattern’s his life after. In verse 5b he said he was in Christ. Oh what a place to find our self. We have been placed in Christ before the foundation of the world. No wonder the song writer said “O what a standing is mine”. In verse 5 we are confronted with the mind of this person. Paul says we need to have this mind in us that was in Christ. We must think like He thinks, feel like He feels, and want what he wants. How can we have this mind? We must exchange our mind for His. How can this be? We must have two things happen to have His mind. One we need to be filled with the Holy Ghost.(Ephesians 5:18). The second thing is we must be filled with the Word of God. (Colossians 3:16) These two are inter changeable you cannot have one without the other. This pattern is not easily obtained, it is a life long process.
