Musing Through Matthew-Egypt’s Journey

Let us muse again today from Matthew 2: 13-15 theme of Jesus the King. I see in verse 14 the Holy Child and His earthly parents make a trip down to Egypt. Egypt speaks of the unknown, a place of trials, and hard ships. I see the trip was made in haste. Oh how often the storm clouds will arise suddenly. I noticed they went in the night. Trouble often comes at the midnight hour. Let us be assured that our God did accompanied them and will go with us through our Egypt trials. I would rather be in the Egypt with Him than be in Nazareth without Him.
