Musing Trough Matthew-Herod’s End

Let us muse again today from Matthew 2: 19-20 and the theme of Jesus the King. I see today in our text Herod’s end. I noticed the warning to Joseph to carry the infant back to Israel  said because they are dead who tried to kill Him. The Holy Ghost loathed Herod’s name so deeply He never mentioned it in this text. What joy and relief to the world when some men die. Those who keep others from the King will not likely live long. Herod raised a sword against the baby Jesus yet this infinite  God-man signed Herod’s death warrant and brought about his demise. Oh what a King. How dangerous for those among us who are keeping people from Christ.
