Musing Through Matthew-The Flash Of A Sword

Let us muse again today from Matthew 4:4 and the theme of Jesus the King. When Satan began to tempt the Lord the first thing we see is the flash of the Sword. Our Lord is not interested in the need for physical nourishment but brings out the Word of God the Sword of the Spirit and begins to wield it around. Satan cannot deny its power. Our Lord said every word is important. No wonder we need to concern ourselves with every word in our study and when we do Satan will be resisted and flee from us.
