Musing Through Matthew-The Temptation Of The Eyes

Let us muse again today from Matthew 4:8 and the theme of Jesus the king. The last temptation is the worst. Satan will all often save his worst temptation as his last shot at destroying the people of God. The temptation is seen in the words he sheweth Him. The lust of the eyes is one of Satan’s greatest ways to bring us down. How many sins begin with what we see. Let us remember the male gender’s weakest area of temptation is his eyes. Ladies remember this when you are dressing an ask yourself the question will this provoke a man to sin with his eyes?
