Musing Through Matthew- A Single Eye

Let us muse again today from Matthew 6:22-23 and the theme of Jesus the King. In our text today our Lord deals with a single eye. When one has but a single eye for the Lord he has flooded his mind with the Word of God and his eye is full of light. We can certainly mistake the things of this world filling our minds as being light when all the time they are but darkness. The Dove has singular vision and can only look at one thing at a time. Oh may we have eyes only for our Lord. If we fill our minds with anything but the Lord, even He will lift His hands with astonishment and cry how great is that darkness.
