Musing Through Matthew-Fruit Matches The Nature

Let us muse again today from Matthew 7:17-18 and the theme of Jesus the King. We are often told that we are not to judge others but we can examine fruit. Our text today tells us the fruit matches the nature. One cannot bring forth fruit contrary to their nature. If one has the nature of God living in them they will bring forth good fruit. If they have nothing but the fallen Adamic nature living in them the fruit will be corrupt. Let us remember when we used the phrase good fruit we do not speak of the world’s definition of good fruit but the Bible’s definition which is God likeness.
