Musing Through Matthew-Is Man Important

Let us muse again today from Matthew 12:11-12 and the theme of Jesus the King. In our text for today Jesus brings up the importance of a human over an animal. We live in a day where more importance is laid on an animal than a person. The question is asked is it all right to heal a human on the sabbath . Our Lord answers the question by asking a question about a sheep cast down on the Sabbath. He said surely you would go and set the sheep on his feet. I fear more today would help an animal by the road quicker than a person in distress. How sad to think, but so true.
