Musing Through Matthew-Some Get It Some Don’t

Let us muse again today from Matthew 13:10-11 and the theme of Jesus the king.In our text for today we are confronted with some sobering truths on the subject some get it and some don’t. Many came to the disciples and asked why Jesus taught in parables and said we don’t get it. Instead of giving an incorrect answer the disciples asked Jesus. Our Lord said this is the purpose of the parables to bring light to some while leaving others in the dark. We are here reminded of the fact that our Lord is the controller of who gets light and who is left in the dark.
