The Longsuffering Christ

Let us muse today from Revelation 2:21-23 and the church at Thyatira. There has already been a warning of a spirit of Jezebel in this church. He gave them time in verse 21 to have a radical change of mind about their sin but she did not repent. Those who practice this spirit will be lumped together and slated for the great tribulation. He says I will destroy their children with them. Our sins do more than just affect us alone. Our Lord reminds us in verse 23 that though He is longsuffering He searches our thoughts and our ways and will give to us according to the works we have done. Let us turn quickly from anything that looks to be like the spirit of rebellious Jezebel, even this moment.
