Great Promises To The Church At Thyatira

Let us look today at Revelation 2:24-29 and the church at Thyatira. It is here that our Lord leaves this church with some great promises. In verse 24 there was A Promise About Their Cares. Our Lord promised because of their walk He would not put any more burdens upon them. There is in verse 25 A Promise About His Coming. He admonished them to persevere until he came for them. In verses 26-27 there is A Promise Of Commendation. They are told if they overcome they will rule and reign with Him. They will break the enemies rule with a rod of iron. Verses 28-29 there is A Promise Of Comfort. He tells them that He will give them the morning star. It arises at the darkest part of the night, right before the dawn. It is the promise of the fact that the Son is fixing to come up and it gives a point of direction. He closes with a great promise of comfort in the words, ‘To him that hath ears let him hear’. Oh, what a comfort to hear His still small voice speak to your heart.
