Musing Through Matthew- Revelation Of Who Christ Is

Let us muse again today from Matthew 16: 17 and the theme of Jesus The King. In our text today we find the revelation of who Christ is. When asked by Jesus whom do you say that I am, Peter answered thou art the Christ the son of the Living God. Peter has testified that the God of the Old Testament and the Christ of the New Testament are one in the same person. Jesus blessed Peter for his response. He tells him flesh and blood didn’t reveal this to you. Peter you didn’t get this on your own but my Father in heaven revealed it to you. We learn salvation is a revelation that always produces a profession and decision. If you have a profession without a life changing revelation you have nothing but religion and hell will be full of such professions
