And lo, the angel of the lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. Why would our Lord make His birth announcement to shepherds.One reason \u00a0is because of their <em>lowliness. <\/em>They were always in the most humble of situation. Another reason is because of their\u00a0<em>faithfulness<\/em>\u00a0. They were watching the flock at night. David the shepherd took on a bear and lion to keep his flock safe. The last reason was their <em>\u00a0uniqueness.<\/em>Our Lord was the good shepherd, the great shepherd, and the Bishop and Shepherd of my soul.
