His coming is mentioned in every chapter, thus the theme, While Waiting For The King. In this chapter Paul calls on us to give attention to some things while we wait. Let us muse today on verses 1-4 where he asks us to give attention to the Word of God. In verse 1-2 Paul speaks of the Entrance of the Word. He said he gave them the Word knowing it’s entrance would not be in vain. The entrance of the Word at Philippi had caused great suffering ,shameful treatment, and contention, but oh what fruit. A rich lady who sold cloth, a demon possessed girl, and a jailor and his family were all gloriously saved. My friend it matters not our situation. We must share the word. In verse 3 we find an Exhortation from the Word. The word ‘exhortation’ gives the idea of explaining fully. Paul did not share the Word with deceit or guile, he just told it like it was. We cannot trim the Word so as not to offend. If we offend, let us correct that, but if the Word offend, tell on. In verse four Paul tells us of being Entrusted with the Word. If we are saved we have been entrusted with the gospel. It is a great treasure. Paul says God is looking at our hearts. Share it not to please men but the Lord.

Let us begin today to ponder I Thessalonians chapter two.In verse 19 we have again the mention of the coming of our Lord.
