Paul has a <em>burden for false brethren<\/em>. He speaks of those who are enemies of the cross. Oh, how many have rejected His cross and death for them. Paul mentions them <em>weeping<\/em>. He does not weep because of them but for them. Oh, how we need a burden for God&#8217;s enemies. They are controlled by the sensual earthly desires in verse 19. Paul says their end will be <em>devastation<\/em>. The word means a continual death of destruction. One will continually be on the edge of death but never dies.
