The word deceitfulness means to trick or beguile. They were tricked by a love for things, money, and it choked seed of any life. We are told the seed was unfruitful and barren. It contributed nothing of spiritual value. What a sad state of affairs for the seed sown on thorny ground. Oh how many sit on the church pews who live on the thorny ground. We have a plant that grows over 700 million acres of the south called <em>Kudzu<\/em>. It chokes out everything in its path. One called a talk show and ask what he should do about a patch of Kudzu growing in his back yard? The radio announcer said &#8220;move&#8221;.
