{"id":137,"date":"2009-01-06T13:10:55","date_gmt":"2009-01-06T13:10:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tomgilliam.wordpress.com\/?p=137"},"modified":"2023-09-01T00:29:47","modified_gmt":"2023-09-01T00:29:47","slug":"hopes-wonder","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tomgilliam.com\/?p=137","title":{"rendered":"Hope&#8217;s Wonder"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Let us this day ponder several\u00a0 verses that tell of the wonder of <em>hope.<\/em> In I Cor.\u00a0 13:13 we find a <em>wonderful perception <\/em>when Paul says,&#8221; And now abideth faith, <em>hope<\/em>,and love&#8230; This is our perception today, but one day faith will give way to sight, <em>hope<\/em>will turn to reality and love will ever remain.\u00a0 In Colossians 1:27 I find a <em>wonderful position<\/em> when Paul says &#8221; Christ in you the <em>hope<\/em>of glory&#8221;. All of our hope comes from HIM who lives in our heart. In I Thess. 4:13 I find a <em>wonderful practice<\/em> when Paul tells us in a time of death,&#8221;that ye sorrow not , even as others who have no <em>hope<\/em>&#8220;. He did not say there would no sorrow, just no hopeless sorrow. In I Thess. 5:8 I find\u00a0 a <em>wonderful power<\/em> in Paul&#8217;s words of &#8221; and for a helmet, the hope of salvation&#8221; The head is where our mind is. Let the mind of Christ be in us, it is a mind of great <em>hope<\/em>. I stand amazed this morning in <em>HOPE!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Let us this day ponder several\u00a0 verses that tell of the wonder of hope.
