Ephesus was a major sea port town which had a population of about a third of a million people. It was known for its Temple of Artemis which was one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. A sea port town is always know for a love of sin, lustful pleasures, and high crime rates. I\u00a0 doubt Ephesus was any different. The Temple of Artemis was known for luring people into sexual immorality and idolatrous feasts. Why would God plant a church here? God always goes to sinners. They said of Him in Luke 15 that He received sinners and even eats with them.
