There has been much said over the years about the visible church and the\u00a0invisible church. Many believe there is only one church and that is the local body of believers. I contend there is a church within the church. That group is\u00a0the called out ones,\u00a0 the elect, and\u00a0born from above blood washed children of God. In speaking to the membership at Philadelphia He says &#8220;, I will make great promises of security. The word overcome means to persevere to the end. We know we cannot persevere\u00a0unless Christ perseveres through us<em>&#8220;to him that overcometh&#8221;.<\/em> For Him to say this to a select group in this church tells me\u00a0their was a church within the church. The promise to them is to become <em>a pillar in the temple of God<\/em>. That my friend is a fixed position. They are promised the fact that <em>they will never go out<\/em>, and\u00a0<em>He will write His name and the name of the city on them.<\/em> This certainly denotes ownership. He closes by saying to this select group in the church, <em>if you have an ear for this, hear what the Spirit says unto you<\/em>.
